PRE-HISTORIC PERIOD:-
Paleolithic Period:-
- Homo sapiens first appeared towards the end of this phase.
- In this period, man barely managed to gather his food and subsisted on hunting.
- Quartzite is the first stone made tools of this phase.
- Paleolithic Period is divided into 3 main phases. They are told as following:-
- 1. Lower Paleolithic Period
- 2. Middle Paleolithic Period
- 3. Upper Paleolithic Period
Mesolithic Period :-
- This period tells about Domestication of Animals was started some characteristic tools were used that time, called as "microliths".
Neolithic Period:-
- Neolithic people knew about fire ЁЯФе and wheel ЁЯЫЮ .
- An important site of this period is 'Burzahom' which means "The place of birch".
INDUS VALLEY CIVILISATION;-
- Indus Valley Civilisation is one of the earliest civilizations in the world ЁЯМО.
- According to radio carbon dating, initiation of Indus Valley Civilisation can be dated around 2500-1750 BC.
- The 'Great Bath' (Mohenjodaro) was used for religious bathing . There were changing rooms alongside.
- Indus people sowed seeds in November and reaped their harvest in April, because of their danger of flood.
- Animals known were as oxen, sheep, buffaloes, goats, pigs, elephants, dogs, cats, asses, and camels ЁЯРл.
Note ЁЯУЭ:- Indus people were first to produce cotton, which the Greeks termed as Sindon(derived from Sindh).
